How do you see the role of the Business Relationship Manager in the current market?

The business relationship manager acts as a strategic partner or liaison between IT and other business units such as HR, finance, sales & marketing, and logistics at the organization.  The result of this relationship drives collaboration and understanding of the customer's business requirements. It can provide solutions and services that meet these needs and provide value that reflects the business strategy.

What do you think are the main challenges?

The challenges of this role are mainly related to meeting customers growing demands in keeping up with digital technology. Time to market - time to deliver solutions from time of idea to solution to meet customers expectations is another challenge and I would also add the misconceptions about the BRMs role to the business.

How do you see this role in LafargeHolcim EMEA Digital Center?

This role for me is an enabler for helping the customer to understand the value that the Digital Center brings to promote and achieve its strategy. Through this role, EMEA Digital Center can communicate innovative and new business solutions to manage and enhance business processes effectively.

How do you think this role is contributing in supporting the transformation into a customer centric organization?

This role contributes to our journey in becoming a more customer-centric organization as it focuses on the customer through enhanced and continuous collaboration and communication and builds confidence with them. These sessions enable us to obtain valuable customer feedback to develop action plans for continuous improvement.

What does success look like?

Success to me is when there is a win-win situation and agreed actions that bring value and confidence between the customer and our solutions.

What are you most proud of...?

I am most proud of situations in this role when the customer is happy that a solution provided resolves a business problem or offers real business value within an agreed time frame.
